Let's Rock and Roll - Kiwi (Year 1)

Our Inquiry Unit about Features and Change has lead our thinking and wondering to landforms being made of rock. So we have been investigating about the different types of rocks!
Did you know there are different types of rocks? And that there is a rock cycle? Well, the Kiwi Hub sure knows this!
We have loved learning about igneous, metamorphic and sedimentary rocks as well as the Rock Cycle through cool songs, a range of stories and hands on learning. Our tamariki have been bringing in their own rocks they have found or bought to explore and share. We have written about rocks, compared rocks and even imitated the rock cycle in a super hands on fun way with play dough!
We sure know how to rock in the Kiwi Hub!!
