Kia ora, I’m Susan Ayson, Kaiwhakamahereora Hinengaro, or Mental Health Adviser for Te Taura Here o Ōtautahi Kāhui Ako Community of Learning.

I am a Registered Nurse, have previously worked for the Crisis Resolution Team based at Hilmorton, and have many years of mental health experience. I work four days per week, with three of those days at Hagley and the other day at Ao Tawhiti. As a brand-new position my role is continually developing, but so far has involved liaising with the DHB, building connections with non-governmental organisations and providing mental health assessments. Unfortunately, I do not have capacity to see everyone in person, but I am very happy to give advice where I can, or to direct people to where they might get help.
