Blair Dravitski —

Success in the community

Congratulations

We love hearing stories of our learners achieving success in the community and it is with great excitement that we feedback about some of our learners in today's newsletter.

Having switched from rugby to soccer this season, Will was excited to be awarded Player of the Year! Anyone wanting to give soccer a go next year will be made very welcome by Selwyn United Football Club.

Matthew was awarded Most Improved Player for his hockey team the Waikirikiri Kakarikis.

Chinaku was awarded Player’s Player for her 10th Grade girls team for Selwyn United – this team was made up of 9 and 10 year old girls. As Chinaku is only 9 this is a great achievement. Most goals scored included scoring a hat-trick at English Park.

Elaia is very new to all things out here in Rolleston. New school, new house, and a new sports team - Rolleston Divas (Softball). She wasn't too sure about it, until last week she got player of the day! She showed great team spirit, fielding & resilience when she got a ball straight in the face & kept on playing!

George received Most valued player for his U7 Riccarton Teeball team (Summer sport).

George received an award for Most tries scored (40) for his Burnham Chevs U6’s league team and Most Dedicated Club Player (Winter sport).

Grayson received the “Player of the day” trophy back in May during the Fun Football winter season for Selwyn United Football Club.

Isla has been taking riding lessons and has begun jumping and cantering her pony.

Lucas plays for the Rolleston Warriors rugby league club and this year was his first season. He never missed a training session or game, and gave his all to every single one. He walked away with Most Dedicated Player of the Year at Prize Giving.

The photo below is of River at her first One Day Event on the 15th of July.

Flynn came first in his last race at the MX Paddock in Glenroy on the 7th of November.

Holly and Summer were recipients of awards at their Waikirirkiri Hockey prize giving on the weekend. Holly was awarded Player of the Season and Summer was awarded Most Improved Player.

Well done to all of our learners on these achievements we are all really proud of you!
