Lemonwood Grove School Board of Trustees Update

Lemonwood Grove School Board of Trustees —

Tēnā koutou katoa

Term 4 is well underway and we’re really looking forward to the school production. This is a wonderful opportunity for our learners and we are so thankful for the dedication of the teaching team to make it happen.

As a new board we have met twice since taking up our roles. We are getting to know one another and each other’s strengths. Our next hui (meeting) is on Wednesday the 14th of December starting at 6pm in the Grove. We’d love to see you there - come along and see what we do.

All state and state-integrated schools in New Zealand have a school board, the board is responsible for the governance of the school. This includes ensuring every student can reach their highest possible standard in student achievement, setting strategic direction in consultation with our community, acting as the employer of all staff in the school and having oversight of the management of the school.

At Te Uru Tarata | Lemonwood Grove School the board consists of Blair Dravitski (Tumuaki | Principal), Stacey Park (Staff Representative), and 5 parent representatives - Drew Winter (Presiding Member), Rebecca Congalton (Deputy Presiding Member), Kelsey Waghorn, Angela Voice and Pip Simmons.

At this time of year the board is mainly focused on planning for the coming year, helping to prepare the budget for 2023, reviewing, consulting on and updating the strategic plan and supporting the preparation of an annual plan.

If you have any questions then please email us on bot@lemonwoodgrove.school.nz

We welcome your feedback and the opportunity to meet you. Please feel free to join us at our next hui.

Nāku iti noa, nā | Sincerely,

Te Uru Tarata | Lemonwood Grove School Board
