Wednesday 18th August - Principal Information Evening 5.30pm to 7pm
On Wednesday 18th August, we are holding a Principal Information evening from 5.30pm to 7.00pm for those interested in the school direction.
It is a great opportunity to better understand the school curriculum, our environment and ask questions.
All are welcome to attend.
Tea, coffee and nibbles provided.
Wednesday 18th August LINK (PTA) Meeting 7pm in The Grove, all welcome. The LINK meeting will follow on from Blair's information evening.
Friday 20th August - School Colour Run (Fun Run)
On Friday 20th August of we will be holding our first school fun run. This is an awesome opportunity for the learners to get active and enjoy collectively working together to fundraise for new sports equipment for break times. All the information you need is included in the attached letter.
A sponsorship form which has information about how to sign up to the online platform went home in week 8. All contributions big or small are greatly appreciated.

Friday 27th August - Daffodil Day
Dress in bright colours, please bring a gold coin donation. All donations will be given to the Cancer Society.
Friday 27th August - Friday 10th September - Life Education Van
As part of our health curriculum at Lemonwood Grove School, Life Education will be visiting us this term from the 27th of August to the 10th of September. Life Education is a health provider that educates and empowers children to make healthy choices so they can live full and healthy lives. Each whānau class will participate in 2-3 lessons run by a specialist educator at the cost of $5.00 per student, which will be added to your school account.
The lessons will focus on the following big picture questions:
Kopara/Kahikatea (Y0-1): What does it take to be part of a team?
Tūī/Kererū: (Y2-3) Why is it important to show empathy towards others?
Maunga/Kahurangi (Y4-5): What is peer pressure and how do we deal with it?
Hinutuhi/Kakara (Y6-8): Why is it important to think about how we interact with others online? And How do the choices I make online affect me and others?
We are really looking forward to welcoming the team from Life Education back to our school!

Monday 6th September - Friday 1st October - Swimming (Year 0-5)
Please ensure you have completed the google form for your child/ren. This was sent out via Hero in Week 1 and can be viewed on the community feed of your Hero app.
Wednesday 8th September - Ski Trip to Mt Hutt (Optional) Year 4-8
Thanks to those who have expressed interest. Once numbers have been confirmed a parent information session will be held. More information to come.

Friday 24th September - Hero Dress-up Day
Dress up as your favourite Hero/someone who inspires you. Please bring a gold coin donation. Money raised will go towards the Year 8 leaver's hoodies.
