Safety Vests

Jen Hodgkinson —

Every student has been issued with a safety vest which has been kindly supplied by the Lyttleton Port Company (LPC), the Selwyn Women’s Issues Group, Fonterra and our LINK.

In the interests of keeping your child safe, learners wear their vest when travelling to and from school each day. At times, the vests may be requested/required for school activities off-site if they will assist in keeping children safe.

Each vest is numbered. You will be able to locate your child's safety vest number on their Linc-Ed account (the office staff are currently  updating all of the numbers and you should have access to this next week).

Please do not name these vests as they are returned at the end of the year and we then reissue them the following year.

We ask that you encourage your child to:

  • Wear their vest every day
  • Look after their vest
  • Keep it clean
  • Return it at the end of the year
  • Remember their number for easy return if it is found. The replacement of this vest will cost $15 if it is lost.
