New Staff for 2019

Sean Bailey —

We are really pleased to announce the appointments of the following teachers to Lemonwood Grove! We are also in the process of appointing a 2nd Deputy Principal who will work closely with Nick from 2019.

Jo Silvey

Kia ora, my name is Jo Silvey and I am happy and excited to be joining the friendly team at Lemonwood Grove school in 2019!

I have lived in Rolleston for 12 years and have enjoyed the changes and development that I’ve seen.

I am currently working at Clearview School, teaching Year 2s and I also recently taught Year 8s at Rolleston School. Over the last ten years I have been doing a lot of relieving, as I have been dong the ‘Mum thing’. I have three children, Ben, (12 yrs – off to Rolleston College next year), Millie, (11yrs), and Jackson, (8yrs). They are all into art and being creative, rather like myself.

My passions are writing, art, music, (my husband is in a band!), reading, exercising and dancing. In the weekend you will probably find me walking up Halswell Quarry with the family, going out for coffee or shopping! I may have met some of you when relieving at Lemonwood last year but, if not, I look forward to meeting you soon.

Emily Glendenning

My name is Emily Glendenning and I am a graduating teacher from the University of Canterbury.  I feel privileged and excited to be commencing my teaching journey at Lemonwood Grove School in 2019. I am a very optimistic, caring and creative person. These personal attributes are reflected in my teaching, my relationships and my communications with students, family and other members of staff.

I have a passion for art and caring for the environment. I believe that students learn best when they can draw on their interests and work to their strengths. I am looking forward to getting to know the students of Lemonwood Grove School and helping them discover what they are passionate about and how they can use their strengths to grow as an individual.

Jane Wood

My name is Jane Wood and I originally come from Wales. I have been teaching for over 15 years and my passion is within the early years setting. I have taught in several countries including NZ.

I am married to Jon and live in Lincoln with our daughter who currently attends Rolleston Christian School.

I am really excited to become part of the Lemonwood Grove Community and can’t wait to meet you all.

My interests are swimming and socialising.

Jacob Facer

I'm excited to be joining the staff full time at Lemonwood Grove School after spending six years in the insurance and finance industry.

I have been spending time at Lemonwood Grove throughout the year and have enjoyed getting to know the staff, students, and members of the community.

My wife and I are looking forward to moving into the Faringdon area soon. I enjoy a range of activities outside of work such as basketball, football, golf, photography, writing, art and travel. I'm looking forward to incorporating these interests into my teaching next year.

Hollie Stone

I grew up in Auckland and began my teaching career at Papatoetoe South School in 2012. In 2014, I moved to London to teach and travel for 2 years which was incredible.

When I returned to Auckland I taught at St Anne's Catholic School before moving to Christchurch in 2017.

I love what Christchurch has to offer and in my spare time I love getting outdoors with my dog, hanging out with friends and exploring New Zealand. I am passionate about building authentic relationships with learners and am excited to be a part of the Lemonwood Grove Community.
