Principal's welcome message!

Thank you to all the staff, learners and community that have taken the time to stop and say hello during my first few days here at Te Uru Tarata | Lemonwood Grove School. 

I was very privileged to be welcomed in with other new learners and staff at our school Mihi Whakatau and very proud to be able to share that experience with my family and a family from my previous school. 

My observations of the school so far is that you have a very committed staff who are well connected with the learners and their families. As a school we are also experiencing significant roll growth which sees learners of all different backgrounds involved in the school. I see this diversity as a really exciting and positive aspect of working here. 

This is my third school I have been a principal at and my career has seen me work all over New Zealand. I live locally with my family in Rolleston and working at Lemonwood Grove School will allow me to better connect with the Selwyn community I live in.
