End of Term
It has been a busy end to the term with Winter Tournament seeing learners from Y5-8 heading down to Foster Park to compete in Soccer & Hockey.
We also had a small team travel to Halswell Quarry to compete in the Canterbury Championships Cross Country. Elodie acheiving 2nd place across Canterbury is a super accomplishment. 
Our Kakara learners have also had a busy week visiting the Travis Wetlands as part of their learning inquiry this term. 
They also visited Mega Air as a way of bonding together as a senior team. 
Teachers, parents and community members provided such lovely feedback about the way you conducted yourselves.

Support Staff Week
Support staff up and down the country have been acknowledged for the mahi they do in our schools. 
Our support staff are a vital part of the success of our school and are an important part of our school. 
Thank you for your continued commitment to our school and our learners. 

Parent Feedback
Over the last couple of weeks I have had a couple of parents reach out to share positive feedback about some of the staff here at Te Uru Tarata | Lemonwood Grove School. 
The staff really appreciate the time taken to reach out and acknowledge these positive interactions. 
All of my staff come to work with the best intent. They care a lot about your children and want the best for everyone of them. 

Farewells
We have had Caitlin & Hollie leave slightly earlier than planned and I appreciate that many of our learners and whānau didn't get to say goodbye as we would have liked. As a school we did send flowers to both and we look forward to seeing their new family members when they arrive. 
As mentioned in previous newsletters Gaby & Andrea are also departing us at the end of the term. Best wishes to you both. 
For those families that are moving, we wish you all the very best in your new locations. Enjoy your new schools and continue to be amazing. 

Term 3 
Term 3 starts on Monday 17th July with our mihi whakatau for new staff and families to be held on Wednesday 19th July. 
I wish you all a relaxing break and I look forward to seeing you all return for Term 3.
