School Absences & Collecting your child from school early or for an appointment
Please ensure you send an absentee message via the Hero APP if your child is going to be absent or late to school. Please see instructions on how to leave an absentee message via the Hero App below.
Please remember to let the office staff know as soon as possible if your child(ren) are going to be absent, attend an appointment or they are being picked up early. For absences if we could please be informed before 9.00am by the Hero App, phone call or email that would be appreciated.
If your child is late to school, please ensure they come to the office first to sign in otherwise your child could be marked absent when they are actually at school.
We have the ability to send a text message regarding unexplained learner absences. You can reply to this text message, use the Hero App or phone/email the office to inform us.
If you have organised someone else to collect your child(ren) at the end of the day and they are not listed as a contact please ensure you let us know.
If your child is being collected early for an appointment, please ensure you come to the office to sign your child out. One of the office team will phone the learning space and ask your child to come to the office to meet you - please do not go to the learning space. Advance notice that your child is being collected early is appreciated but we understand that sometimes this is not always possible. We also need to know if someone else is collecting your child during the day (even if they are listed as a contact). Please take into consideration your child's break time for appointments as we may not be able to find them in the playground if you come to collect during this time.
Our Y0-4 learners have their break time from 10.30am to 11.00am and 12.30pm to 1.00pm.
Our Y5-8 learners have their break time from 11.10am to 11.40am and 1.10pm to 1.40pm.
The office is staffed from 8.30am until 3.15pm. Please make sure that you have collected your child(ren) from school before this time.
Please ensure all of your child(ren)'s uniform item's are named.
Thanks for your support with this.
