Lemonwood Grove School Litter Free

Helen Devlin —

What can you do to help us keep our school grounds litter free?

Just a reminder that Lemonwood Grove does not offer rubbish bins for lunch box rubbish. It is the learners responsibility to put their wrappers or packets back into their lunchbox for disposal or recycling at home.  However, we still find we have lots of stray rubbish laying around our grounds at the end of morning connect and kai time.

How can you help? We are encouraging you to try having wrapper free lunches. All food that comes in wrappers or packets, is removed before it gets packed into the lunchbox and disposed of or recycled at home. By doing this step before the lunchbox comes to school, as opposed to being done at the end of the day would help us limit the stray rubbish significantly! Bento style lunchboxes are a great option as is reusable containers or packaging.

We appreciate your support and help in maintaining Lemonwood Grove School being Litter Free.
