Please read these important road safety reminders...

Jen Hodgkinson —

Safety Vests

The wearing of safety vests is compulsory at Te Uru Tarata | Lemonwood Grove School. A number of learners have been forgetting their safety vests over the last week. Please make sure your child/ren have their safety vest on before they leave home even if you are dropping them off by car. This is your responsibility.

Main carpark

Please remember the speed limit in the main carpark is 10km/h. Please be considerate when dropping off and picking up your child(ren).  Don't forget to use the entrance & exits correctly and leave the Waitaha Traffic Lane free.

Kiss and Drop

We strongly encourage you to use the 50m kiss and drop on Charlbury Ave when dropping off and picking up your children.

Crossing the road

We will engage with our local community constable to work with our learners this year around crossing roads/streets safely however in the meantime here are some guidelines to use with your child(ren).

Road safety advice for families

Helmet wearing

We have a compulsory helmet policy in place. Please ensure your child(ren) are wearing their helmets to and from school.

Kea Crossing

Please always use the two crossings we have when coming to and leaving the school each day. It is extremely dangerous crossing the roads closest to the school with the amount of traffic around. Yes, it often takes longer, however the main function of the Kea Crossings are to protect you and your child(ren).
