New Staff

Blair Dravitski —

Welcome

It's really exciting to be welcoming new staff to Lemonwood Grove School in Term 3. We are excited to announce Sarsha Wightman who will start as Assistant Principal, Samantha Taylor who will start a New Entrant Roll Growth classroom and in Week 4 we welcome Anna Meehan who will become the teacher for Emma's whānau as she starts her maternity leave.

Sarsha Wightman
Kia ora koutou, I am very excited to be joining the team at Lemonwood Grove. I am currently working at Lincoln Primary, however, I live locally in Rolleston and am looking forward to making more connections in the community. I have three children; Cooper, Elodie, and Arabelle. Elodie and Arabelle will be joining me at school next term and they are feeling excited about the move as well. Cooper is in his first year at high school. During my spare time, I am involved with Selwyn Athletics Club both in track and field and cross country, so maybe a familiar face for a few. As well as being a taxi for the children and their many sports, I play netball, basketball and enjoy the odd run.

Samantha Taylor
Kia Ora Koutou, I was born in Dunedin but for most of my life was raised in North Canterbury. I studied a Bachelor of Teaching and Learning at the University of Canterbury graduating in 2019. For the past two years, I have been relieving at many schools across Canterbury as well as being a pre-school swim instructor at Aquagym. In my spare time, I am most likely be coaching, playing or working on the committee for my netball club where I've been a part of for 5 years. I also enjoy spending time with friends and family and exploring the arts through music, dance and painting.
I will be joining the Lemonwood Grove community at the start of Term 3.

Anna Meehan
I grew up in Port Chalmers, Dunedin, but have spent time flitting between there, Wānaka and Christchurch, before settling in Sumner to do my Primary Teacher training in the big city. Being the eldest of five children, family relationships play an important role in my life, and I enjoy getting to know students and their whānau within school communities.
I am currently studying te reo Māori through Te Wānanga and am passionate about including this learning in my teaching. I am a fun-loving person and carry this through to my teaching approach. I believe that school should be enjoyed, and I love helping students to approach their learning with a positive and can-do attitude.
Outside of school, I could be anywhere, but I’ll be guaranteed to be there with my two wee dogs, Syd and Bella.
