Selwyn Youth Choir

The Selwyn Youth Choir is a non-auditioned choir for young people from age 9 to high school who enjoy singing and want to improve their choral singing skills. We are based in Rolleston and focus on skill development and singing in two or more parts. We meet on Monday evenings 6-7pm, and work towards concerts and sing-outs throughout the year. Our members go to schools throughout the Selwyn district, from West Melton and Rolleston to Darfield and Lincoln. We mainly sing pop, musical theatre and movie songs. Choir members with particular skill in part singing may be invited to join the 'Treble Rebels', an advanced group who sing more complex arrangements (as seen singing 'Royals' on What Now earlier this year).
