Isabella Byers (Learning Leader)
Isabella was born and raised in Christchurch and completed a Bachelor of Teaching and Learning at The University of Canterbury. After graduating, She took some time off to go travelling and spent time working at a summer camp in America. In her spare time, Isabella is often found in the kitchen or spending time with her family and friends. Isabella has been teaching at Te Uru Tarata Lemonwood Grove School since the beginning of 2022 and enjoys getting to know all the learners, staff and whānau that make up the Lemonwood Grove community. Isabella is passionate about creating a fun, supportive and hands-on learning environment for all learners to thrive in.

Mikayla Stewart
Mikayla was born in Christchurch spending most of her life there apart from a 3-year stint in Brisbane, Australia. She studied at the University of Canterbury, where she graduated in 2022. While studying, Mikayla worked as a swimming teacher supporting children to be safe in and around the water. When Mikayla is not in the classroom she can often be found exploring cafes around Christchurch, reading a good book or spending time with friends and family. Mikayla is extremely excited to be teaching at Lemonwood Grove School. She is looking forward to getting to know all students, their whānau, and everyone that is part of the school community.

Alec Wesney
Alec was born and bred in Christchurch. At the end of 2022, she received her Bachelor of Teaching and Learning from the University of Canterbury. Outside of school she enjoys taking walks in the great outdoors, dancing, which she did for 13 years specialising in Jazz, and spending time with her loved ones. Alec is very interested about including a diverse range of learners in her classroom, so she studied Sign Language at Merge New Zealand and learned about the Tikanga of Te Reo Māori at Te Wānanga o Aotearoa in 2020 and 2021. She is very motivated about learning and growing. Alec is excited to create a learning atmosphere where her children feel safe and valued in which they would want to come to school each day and encourage her learners to recognise and work to their strengths.

Kirstie Holbutt
Kirstie grew up in England before moving to Auckland in 2009. Whānau relationships play an essential role in her life, and she places value on strong connections and well-being. Kirstie graduated in 2014 and has taught a range of year levels since then. She is passionate about teaching literacy and ensuring successful outcomes for all ākonga. When she is not in the classroom, Kirstie spends quality time with her husband, Tom, and two children, Grace and Oliver. She enjoys baking, outdoor adventures, and spending time with friends and family. Kirstie is excited to continue her teaching journey at Te Uru Tarata | Lemonwood Grove School this year.

Meghan Robb
Having grown up in Rolleston, Meghan is excited to start teaching at Lemonwood Grove in 2025. She completed her Bachelor of Teaching and Learning in 2020 and has been teaching at Oxford Area School for the past four years. Meghan loves making learning fun and exciting for tamariki, bringing her passion and energy into every lesson. When she’s not in the classroom, Meghan loves to travel and spend quality time with family and friends. She’s truly excited to meet the whānau from the Lemonwood Grove school community.
