Millie, it is wonderful to watch how you show the same kind of respect to your friends and support them if someone else is not showing them the respect they deserve. If there is something you are not sure or happy about, you talk politely to sort it out, and always talk kindly with your friends. You are voluntarily putting yourself into more leadership roles within the school through your Wheels Thursday idea and your dedication during buddy time with Room 6 and Ohanga. Sophie Riach: Sophie you are our Resilience - Manawaroa value recipient this term for a very good reason. Last year one of the first things you told me was that you couldn’t do maths and that you didn’t even like it. What a major difference one year makes! Just the other week you were adding, subtracting and multiplying decimals to three decimal places all with correct answers. You even turned to me and said that you were ‘Super Proud’ of yourself. Sophie resilience takes time and effort to build and you are proof that with the right mindset, positive attitude. and resilience you can achieve anything!
Harley Stewart: Harley you have shown the utmost resilience this year. Your manawaroa has shone through as you became familiar with you new Ōhanga friends. You have made new friendships and embraced everything new happening in your school day. Your biggest challenge was how you used your swim time. We have watched you grow into a confident swimming boy. You have shown great perseverance and challenged yourself with goals to achieve something new each time you have gone into the pool. This has seen you move from sitting on the steps watching, to splashing and playing in 'the deep end'. How awesome is that? I know you are super-proud of what you have achieved. We are too! Kia kaha Harley.
Shayla Hollands: Shayla, you show that you can handle challenges and changes with Resilience - Manawaroa. You made the transition to Room 6 with ease. You have done it all with a smile and positive attitude. You are learning the new routines and making new friends. We are lucky to have you at Sefton. Miiharo !!

Jono Dawson: Jono, during this first term I have noticed how reflective you have been in both your work and managing yourself in class. You are working very hard to make changes to the way you interact with others to put forward your 'best self'. Keep up the good work Jono!
Ellie Graham: Ellie it takes a lot to be able to look at work with a critical eye and understand that you can still make improvements. This is especially hard with work that you have put so much effort into. Ellie you use your Reflection - Whaiwhakaaro value in all learning areas when you take on feedback and utilise it to extend your learning. You have consistently shown thi throughout the whole term and I hope you keep this up the rest of the year.
Cohen Stephens: Hey Cohen, I just want to say to you how proud I am of the whaiwhakaro you are showing. You love being at school and having fun with your friends. You are becoming a great role-model for reflecting on choices you make and fixing it up next time to make the right choice. You are ignoring distractions from friends during your learning time so that you get the most out our teaching sessions. You are also thinking about your writing and number work and listening about making changes to improve your work. Kia kaha, be brave and strong in your learning.
Kenzie Norton: You are using your Reflection Value - Whaiwhakaaro because everyday you work harder than the day before. You are learning and growing so much in Room 6.
