Pirate Day

Principal —

Tuesday 4 April 2023

To mark the closing of the pool for the Summer season we are celebrating with Pirate Day!  

This will be a day of fun and celebration for the children. 

Events for the day: 

  • Children to come dressed up as pirates or anything to do with pirates for example a pirate princess, an alligator, a lost boy...
  • Make a boat at home and enter it into the boat racing/ floating competition. 
  • The boat categories are: a lego boat, a boat made out of recyclable material, the smallest boat, the largest boat, and a motorised boat.
  • Write a pirate speech and perform it to the school or enter into the pirate cry (saying / voice) competition 
  • In the afternoon students will have a water fight to drain the pool, so bring wetsuits, togs & towel, water gun, buckets or any container to throw water on someone else with. 

Event times TBC: 

9:15am Pirate Parade and Pirate Speeches on the court

11:30am Boat floating competition 

1:45pm Senior Water Fight 

2:15pm Junior Water Fight
