I would like to take this opportunity to thank our wonderful teachers and teacher aides who have been a huge support to me during the last two terms in my role as acting principal - it has been pleasure and an honour to work with such a professional and hard working team of educators - your tamariki are very fortunate.
As we farewell Rae Davenport this term I would also like to acknowledge the huge contribution, dedication and commitment Rae have given to our kura , our tamariki and all her school colleagues over the last 7 years. Thank you Rae.
As we move to the end of year we have had to unfortunately make changes to our end of year programme due to the challenges around the pandemic as we move into the Covid Protection Framework - Traffic Light system.
Our prize giving this year will only be for caregivers and children who are recipients of awards or Year 8 leavers. This is not an easy situation to be in as it is time to celebrate all our children.
We are sure that we can work with the Covid Protection Framework and open the school pool to the community - we are working through the requirements and hopefully will have keys available for purchase in the next 2 weeks . The pool will be opening for the children during school time next week - hopefully the weather will warm up.
Ngā mihi nui
Jane
