Values Cup
Jackson Freeman: Jackson, you are such a role model when it comes to our Sefton School Values. You are always respectful in your interactions with your classmates and with the adults at our school. You're incredibly resilient and this shows through when others may not be doing the right thing - you step up and show how it should be. I continue to be impressed with the way you can stick with the tough stuff and use your reflections value in class with your work. I have watched you look out for the younger children at our school and I know you will keep being someone that they can look up too. Well done.
Respect - Manaakitanga
Cormac Aiken: Cormac, in our classroom you are respectful in the way that you care for our space, interact with your teachers and speak to your friends. We appreciate the manaakitanga that you show others. Keep on being amazing! Mīharo, wonderful!
Mary Winter: Mary, you are such an incredible role model in the way you demonstrate Manaakitanga. You do this across every situation you are involved in at school. Not only do you show respect for your peers and adults, you also have respect for yourself and your time at school.
Tia Broadhurst: Tia, you always demonstrate manaakitanga in our kura showing respect to all. You respect everyone's opinions and differences and always consider every idea or perspective. Tino pai!

Ethan Brown: Ethan you show all Sefton Values but the one that stands out more than any is the respect you show everyday in every situation. You sometimes make mistakes but you use that as a new learning moment for next time. You have beautiful manners and always apologise for any mistakes you make. You are kind and helpful with your friends and help them make good choices for them to show respect too. Mīharo Ethan - Awesome Ethan!
Rosa Isle: Rosa, you are a joy to have in class and you are a perfect role-model of a respectful school citizen. This year you have emerged as one of our class leaders and it has been a real pleasure to have taught you. Thank you for your hard mahi. Miharo, awesome!
Relationships - Whanaungatanga
Bailey-Rae Broadhurst: Bailey-Rae, you have done a beautiful job of creating new connections and friendships this year and have supported other students to feel welcome in our classroom. You are kind and caring and enjoy the company of your friends. Ka rawe! How lovely!
Willow Scott: Willow, you continue to impress us with the way you manage yourself with your peers. We have watched you grow in confidence in your interactions with others and your understaning of yourself. You are kind and gentle and always show this in when you are with others. You have made new friends this year and strengthened your bonds with others. Kia Kaha.
Milla Sleeman-Shaw: Milla, you show whanaungatanga in every interaction you have in our kura. You are kind, caring and considerate of everyone. You accept and celebrate everyone for their uniqueness and abilities. You are a star Milla!
Zach Svensson: Zach you have embodied our school value of Whanaungatanga – relationships this term. Whether it be running a game, colouring or hot gluing millions of christmas decorations, Zach, you have excelled as a Big Buddy, demonstrating patience and kindness in all interactions. I am proud to present this values award to you. Keep up the great work!
Zaylee Darragh: Zaylee it has been wonderful to see you come into Sefton school as a very shy student and watch as your confidence grows. You have begun to make new friends in class as well as in Room 6 and welcome old friends into Õhanga as they come in for visits. Your warmth towards your friends makes everyone feel safe and happy. You talk to all the grown-ups that come into class too - do you remember when you were too shy to do that? Now look at you - kia kaha Zaylee!

Resilience - Manawaroa
Delia Tregurtha: Delia, you just get back up there and keep on trying everytime! You put your best effort in, give new things a go and all with a smile on your face. You keep on trying even when something is tricky and you ask for some help when you need to. You show our resilience value so well! Tino pai, great stuff!
Joe Collins: Joe, we watch you working hard in class every day. You are demonstrating a growing confidence and belief in yourself and we see you using this more and more in challenging situations. Be proud of how well you are developing Manawaroa in all areas of your school day.
Millie McConachie: Millie, you have shown manawaroa in Room 3 this term by working hard each and every day. When faced with a challenge, whether it be socially or in your learning, you persevere, ask for help and seek feedback as needed. Ka rawe Millie!
Cole Bailey: Cole this term you have really stepped up your effort and resilience- Manawaroa in class. I have seen you put in the extra mile on projects and push yourself. I am looking forward to you continuing this in your final year of school!
Patrick Corr: Patrick, I have been blown away with how much you have achieved this year. You have worked so hard with your learning and have shown great resilience when you have found some of your learning too hard. You have continued to work hard and try your best. This is called resilience and because you have shown this, you have got better and better at your reading, writing and maths. I am so proud of you. Reflection - Whaiwhakaaro
Amelia Guthrie: Amelia, you are always doing your very best and put your all into every task that you do. You are always thinking of how you can do more or improve your work and your learning. You put so much detail and deep thinking into your learning and tasks. You reflect daily on your choices and your thinking. Mīharo, amazing!
Saskia Svensson: Saskia it has been wonderful to see you put Whaiwhakaaro in place across your school day with growing independence and confidence. You are able to look at what you have done with your work and talk through how you could improve. It has also been wonderful to see the way you reflect on situations that have happened in the playground and you help others regulate themselves and help them develop strategies about what they could do next time. Great work!
Shania Smith: Shania, this year you have really grown and thrived as a Year 5 in Room 3. It has been wonderful to see you reflect on the things that are important to you at school both socially and in your learning.You are a star Shania!

Marley Tierney: Marley, I have been amazed at how far you come in your reflections of how your behaviour can affect others as well as your own learning. You not only reflect on some of your choices but you change what you do next time, making choices that make your days at school happier ones.
