Message from the Principal
Week One, Term Four
Kia ora koutou Sefton Whānau,
With a hiss and roar term four has started for us all. I hope you all have a relaxing and refreshing break over the holidays. For some of us this might not have been the case so please get in touch with us if you or your child needs support.
The last week of Term Three I had the privilege to attend the Year 7 & 8 camp at Wainui. This was an amazing experience for our seniors. They are to be congratulated for stepping out of their comfort zones, building stronger friendships, participating, their perseverance, and joining in and having fun!!
I would like to thank the parents and staff that attended, your time, dedication and mucking in with the students was amazing!!
Thank you to:
Prue Roberts
Mel and Cam Booker
John Ward
Heidi Schaffer
Mel Gold
Lizzie Kirkby
Also a big thank you to the PTA, Rangiora Toyota and Daniel Smith Industries and Aotearoa Gaming Trust for heavily subsidising the cost of this camp or providing minivans for our students. Please enjoy the photos from camp in the next article.
We have some exciting events planned for Term 4 so please check out the dates for these events (in the article and school calendar). We would love parents to be involved in these events if you are able.
As term four weather improves, it is time for sun hats to be worn in the playground, sunblock to be applied and sandals to be on children’s feet. We have had an increase in bee stings as children are starting to run around in bare feet.
Reminder to complete the Pet Day registration form.
Have a wonderful long Labour Weekend everyone.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
Mauri ora ki a koutou,
Heidi Moeller
