Values Cup Receiver

Mary Winter

Mary, this is an absolute pleasure to present you with this cup. You are one of our quiet students, who has the most incredible work ethic across all areas of your learning. You ask questions when you are unsure, reflect on the feedback given to you and then head off to apply this to your work. I watch you using some great relationship skills in the playground - caring for those that are hurt and need help. You are an upstander, a great friend and I know I can rely on you to always do your very best. You are kind, polite and well mannered and you demonstrate our Te Waitai Sefton School Values across your school day. It is a pleasure to work with you. Well done.

Respect - Manaakitanga

Willow Bisseker: Willow, you show our respect value at all times in our classroom and in the playground. You are polite and well mannered, with both your actions and words. I have been really impressed to see the way that you are able to be an upstander in a positive and respectful manner. Well done.

Maddie Weeks: Maddie exemplifies our school value of Manaakitanga through her caring, positive, and considerate nature. Always polite and gracious, Maddie consistently shows respect to everyone she interacts with, making her a valued and respected member of our school community.

Monikah Prakash: Monikah you show manaakitanga to each and every member of our kura. You are considerate of others and celebrate everyone for their uniqueness! Keep up the amazing work Monikah!

Blake Rhodes: Blake you have learnt so much about your school values and you are showing me that you work very hard showing our Manaakitanga value. You are practising our good manners reminders for yourself and reminding your friends about them too. When it is time to pack up, you are very helpful and show respect for our classroom toys and activities, making sure nothing is left out. Good work Blake!

Amelia Freeman: Amelia, everyday you are ready for learning and you use all your Sefton Values at school. You are always repectful and you show that you love learning. You have enthusiasm for every class activity and always do your best with a big smile. This is a great respectful attitude, keep it up. We are proud of you !!!

Relationships - Whanaungatanga

Kenzie Norton: Kenzie, you are always so kind, caring and encouraging toward everyone in our classroom. I always hear you cheering people on in their school work and congratulating them for doing a good job. You watch for the little things people do that not everyone notices and make sure to tell them they've done well. Thank you for all your kind words everyday!

Ezekiel Gillies: Ezekiel, it has been wonderful to see the way you are demonstrating our Whanaungatanga values across your school day. You are positive and more confident with the way you work with your peers, particularly when working on learning tasks with your classmates. I enjoy watching the way you are able to share your knowledge with others, especially during maths time. Keep it up!

Briar Clyne: Briar embodies our school value of Whanaungatanga by demonstrating exceptional kindness and patience. As a good friend and a positive role model, Brair consistently supports and inspires our junior students, fostering strong, meaningful relationships within our school community.

Ellie Graham: Ellie, you demonstrate whanaungatanga in our school each and every day. You are kind, caring and considerate of those around you. You are always willing to lend a hand and help out a friend in need. Ka mau te wehi Ellie!

Katie McKeown: Katie you are an amazing student who makes everyone feel welcomed into our classroom. You always have a bright cheery smile and words of kindness for all. You encourage everyone to be the best version of themselves and support them if things go wrong. You are helpful to all adults and always willing to lend a helping hand. What a great friend you are!

Avaya Parata: Avaya, you are always willing to help others. You are a leader in our classroom and you can be relied upon in to get jobs done. We really appreciate the effort you put into helping others. You are kind and thoughtful. Your classmates look up to you for guidance. Avaya, great work, Miharo. You are an awesome friend !!

Resilience - Manawaroa

Shayla Hollands: Shayla, you have been showing your manawaroa/resilience value so well this term. You persevere when things are tricky in our learning, you try your best everyday to be positive and kind and you are brave to try new things and make mistakes. Mīharo! Amazing!

Taylor Julian: Taylor, wow, what a term you have had. I have enjoyed watching you grow as a person through the term, both with your learning and your interactions with others. You have worked really hard to develop your skills in areas that you used to find tricky - now you are really starting to take them in your stride. This is wonderful to see, keep it up!

Jono Dawson: This certificate is awarded to Jono for demonstrating remarkable resilience. This term, Jono has completed every piece of work set before him, developed a greater work ethic, and met new challenges with a can-do attitude. Your perseverance is truly inspiring. Keep up the fantastic work, Jono!

Mae Stringer: Mae, you have shown true resilience and perseverance in your learning in the first half of this year. Your hard work is not going unnoticed by your teachers and your whanau. Keep up the amazing work Mae!

Maiah Connell: Maiah you have settled into school despite the many challenges you faced, with moving to a new house in a new area as well as starting school. I can see that your resilience is growing as you persevere when things feel tricky for you, and meeting new challenges with an "I can do that" attitude. You've got this Maiah - kia kaha!

Beau Chamberlain: Beau, you work so hard everyday and we can see you love learning. You always try so hard. You ask great questions with your inquiring mind and you listen to others ideas in class discussions. You make wonderful choices at school and you are proud to be your own person - this means you do what is right for you !!! Keep this up Beau. You have had a super start to school.

Reflection - Whaiwhakaaro

Patrick Corr: Patrick, you put your absolute best effort in to school everyday and we love your enthusiasm and hard work. You always do better than you did the last time and work hard to grow as a learner. You've been doing some fantastic work this term and putting in your all, mīharo!

Taylor Drummond: Taylor, it has been fantastic to see you beginning to realise just what you might be capable of. I have enjoyed watching the way you have begun to really think about your learning, take on board feedback and start to push yourself more without me. This is fantastic and I can't wait to see you using your skills as the year progresses. Great job!

Jackson Freeman: Jackson, you have been working so hard on actioning feedback with a positive attitude and accepting new challenges with a smile. You embody our whaiwhakaro value and continuously strive to be better than before, and it shows. Keep it up!

Levi De Joux: Levi, you are demonstrating our value of Reflection by stepping up this term both in your work ethic and the choices you make around the school. Keep up the amazing work Levi!

Origin Roberts: Origin, I love how you constantly reflect on how your choices can affect the friends around you and how you make better choices for 'next time'. You have worked so hard to manage your big emotions and I seeing a much happier and relaxed Origin. Mīharo Origin, Kia Kaha!

Skylar Smith: Skylar, we can see how hard you are working at school and you are also working at home on your learning. Each day you try harder than the day before and your confidence growing. You are able to shine so bright, share your ideas, fill in your school books with wonderful mahi and be proud of all your learning. Miharo !!
