Musical Storytelling - The Best Show Ever!

Our tamariki from across Te Waka Unua enjoyed a performance by the NZ Opera Group. The group consisted of a cast of very talented wahine Māori accompanied by their also talented musician on keyboard . It was a 40 minute show inspired by the story of Hinewhaititiri and the Weather Gods. It included waiata, dance and puppetry in both Te Reo Māori and English.

The performance was appreciated by all the tamariki and also teachers who thought it was an inspirational experience for our ākonga to see how telling stories through dance and music can be fun and exciting.
