A Winning Performance

We are very proud of our school band, Te Waka Rockers, who performed at the annual Bandquest competition on August 28th.

Bandquest is New Zealand's premier music competition for primary and intermediate school bands. It gives our students the chance to shine as budding musicians and develop their stage presence and musical skills.

The Te Waka Rockers stood out among sixteen other bands, impressing both judges and the audience with their performance.

Their victory wouldn’t have been possible without the skill and support of our music teacher Peter Cairns.

This year's band was made up of Aria on guitar, Rico playing bass, Mahinaarangi on drums, Sakura on keyboard and our talented vocalists Tairoa, Sienna, Siraya-Grace and Morgan. You all rock!
