Day 1, 2026
A fantastic first day back at school
Today was a beautiful sunny day to welcome our students back to school. We started the day with a pōwhiri to welcome 45 new students and their whānau to our kura. We hope they have all had a great day meeting their new classmates and settling into a new school. Our existing students did a fantastic job of welcoming them and supporting them on their first day.
I hope all your children have come home today with big smiles and great stories about the first day back at school. Please remember to reach out to us if you have any questions, queries or concerns at anytime.
A couple of reminders:
School starts each day at 9am. Students are welcome onsite from 8:30am and need to be in their classes by 9am ready to start the first lesson. Please ensure your children are not onsite before 8:30am as there is no supervision prior to this.
Uniforms - It was great to see everyone arriving back in school uniform and school suitable shoes. THANK YOU!
Carpark - The staff carpark is not a Drop off or Pick Up zone. Please do not use the school carpark. The only vehicles accessing this should be the disability taxis. This is an important Health & Safety concern having children in the carpark. PLEASE support us and the safety of everyones children by NOT using the school carpark.
We look forward to a great term ahead. Look out for newsletters coming into your inbox over the coming days from your child's learning team sharing the plans for the terms learning programmes.
