We were really lucky to have some firefighters visit us in Ōpāwaho earlier this term.

The children learned what to do if we found a fire or matches or a lighter, how to crawl under smoke, and how to call 111 in an emergency.

We then had a tour of the fire engine and a demonstration of the equipment, hose, and siren that the firefighters used. It was an exciting day and the tamariki had a wonderful time! Thank you, Woolston Fire Station!
