Counting bees
Nature walks in Woolston Park
Kea te kei have been doing regular nature walks around the school and community this term. Watching the leaves coat the trees as spring arrived, and the flowers appear with the hot summer sun. The last week the children sat between the two islands of wild flowers on the park path. As they sat underneath the bee highway above them they watched the bees hop from one garden to the other. Twenty six bees were counted in just one minute.
