Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori
The theme this year was ‘Ake ake ake – A Forever Language’. It represents the resilience, adaptability and endurance of our language. It also reflects the commitment we have to embracing and learning te reo Māori long into the future.
Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori is always a celebration that our staff and students look forward to. This year we had loads of different activities happening across the school. Some key events were:

Team Ruru Manu Kōrero
Loopy Tunes Junior interactive waiata afternoon
Alongside these larger events classes shared their various activities and learning experiences which included quizzes, digital story telling, waiata, games, haka, pukana & poi. It was great to see everyone enjoying celebrating the use of Te Reo Māori throughout the school.
