This Term, students from Pīwakawaka, Kea, and Toroa have explored the outdoors with Field based STEM educator Bianca Woyak. Building on the excitement from Ruud Kleinpaste’s visit in term 3, Bianca guided students in discovering the natural world around our school. They used insect nets and magnifying lenses to observe insects and learned about the connections between different species. Through these fun, hands-on activities, students are learning to think like scientists and gain a deeper appreciation for the environment. These experiences are designed to inspire our students to care for nature and continue exploring the outdoors.
