Subject selection and the 2025 timetable.

Neil Harray - September 18, 2024

This is a crucial time of year and we prepare for the 2025 school year. At this stage of year we try to match the students desired subject choices with the available staffing in a way that works best for most/almost all students.

While we try really hard to make the timetable work for everyone, the constraints of matching teachers and subjects often means some compromises have to be made for some students.

One of the standout features of this school is the way our staff try to find solutions when there are subject clashes. In all my time in education I have never see a group of teachers be so flexible and willing to out the needs of our students first and foremost in the decisions we make. This means that for some, students might be doing a class "off-line" with teacher support at different times of the week. It might also mean there are combined year level classes. While this is not ideal, it is a way of having a teacher working with students directly.

Our Deans will be working your and your child about what the best possible option will be as we start to confirm the 2025 timetable.
