We are very proud of our Head Students and Deputy Head Students. They have already shown what a great team the are and will represent the school at formal events and support the direction and vision of Te Aroha College.

As part of their leadership development, the student leadership team attended the HeadzUp Leadership Day hosted by the Waikato Institute of Leadership and Sport Studies at the University of Waikato. During the day the team got to meet a large number of student leaders from other schools across the Waikato and Bay of Plenty. Some of the key themes covered were to;

- reflect on their personal leadership attributes and experiences and those of others

- broaden and develop the skills to lead within their own unique support network

- build effective relationships with others and develop a leadership support network

- encourage a personal vision of leadership that encompasses the roles and responsibilities of being a leader within and beyond the school gates

We look forward to seeing these leaders in action throughout the year. 

In future newsletters we will also introduce our school captains and house captains.
