On Friday 14 November, Te Aroha College staff will be once again participating in a combined teacher and staff only day, this year to be held at Hauraki Plains College. This is one of the allocated Ministry of Education Professional Learning and Development (PLD) days schools are allowed to use. Ten East Waikato/Thames Valley and Coromandel schools are combining to work together and 

This means that Te Aroha College will be closed for all students for the whole day - Friday 14 November.

The day will be used to build on the work from last year strengthening curriculum discussions, planning for 2026 - especially recently announced curriculum changes, NCEA administration and moderation practices. 

Thank you for your understanding, especially in the light of the PPTA industrial action which is completely separate from this event.
