The 2022 Pasifika in the Bay Festival was a beautiful day shared with family and friends.

The festival was held in Te Puke and for the first time it was held on the weekend. The sun was shining and schools from all over the Bay performed dances from many different Pacific cultures. The students had so much fun performing amongst friends and family and posing for photos. Lots of delicious pacific food was shared at the event.

Pasifika in the Bay in 2022 took place at Jubilee Park, Te Puke. Fortunately with 10 students representing Tauranga Girls' College Pasifika, we were able to showcase dances from the beautiful islands of Tuvalu, Samoa and Fiji. The day was filled with fun, food and love, truly a great experience and seeing other schools such as our neighbouring schools of Tauranga Boys' College, Mount College, Gate Pa as well other primary schools, intermediate and colleges, even Manurewa showcasing the arts of Samoa from Auckland. Thank you to our Pasifika teachers Mrs Baxter and Ms Robinson who have been committed to making this day possible and to thank you also to teachers, students and families who came to support our Pasifika group.
