Wāhine Warrior

Elea Hargreaves —

Tauranga Girls’ College students eagerly came together for Wāhine Warrior,

A thrilling new school event filled with teamwork, competition, and school spirit. Students formed teams within their houses and faced off in a series of exciting challenges, including human pyramids, dry Weet-Bix eating, slip ‘n’ slides, and more. Each game tested their creativity, endurance, and teamwork, making the event both engaging and unforgettable.

Throughout the day, students raced to complete tasks, creating a lively and energetic atmosphere where friendships were strengthened. For the Year 9s, Wāhine Warrior was a great opportunity to familiarise themselves with the school grounds. It was a day filled with laughter, encouragement, and plenty of high-energy moments.

Whanaungatanga was at the heart of the day as students worked together, discovering each other’s strengths and strategizing to tackle challenges. Through teamwork and support, they overcame obstacles and celebrated their achievements together. Ka pai to everyone who took part!
