This year two Year 12 students were given the fantastic opportunity to gain a full scholarship to attend Outward Bound. Students had to submit an application for selection, and the competition was high. Ellie White and Meghan Hughes were the final two selected, and in May, they set off on their amazing adventure. It is a privilege to send our students on such a unique, life-changing experience.

“Recently, I had 21 days of fun, adventure and challenge in Anakiwa at Outward Bound. In our watch of 14 people, we experienced many adventures together, learning how to work as a team, be a good leader, and push through hard times. I had the best three weeks of my life going hiking, sailing/rowing, rock climbing, waka ama, and a 3-day solo experience, all topped off with a half marathon. Although it was challenging, both mentally and physically, I will forever be grateful that I had the opportunity to attend because it was truly life-changing.” - Ellie White
