On Wednesday 9 September, TGC took a team to compete at the Waikato Secondary Schools Cross Country Champs at Eve Rimmer Park in Whakatane.

This is the one and only inter-school cross country event that has happened this year. The girls that competed for the school were; Carlie Harris, Mia Corney, Shaydene MacDonald, Ella Webb, Bianca Enright, Olivia Hala, Indi James, Lily Keogh, Rorz Quinlan, Tiarna Allen and Maia Flint.

Best performances of the day were from Maia Flint who was 2nd in the Senior Girls 4000m and Tiarna Allen who came 11th in the same race.

In the Junior Girls 3000m Olivia Hala was placed 6th. Well done girls!
