Year 13 Design Graphic Novel

This year for design, I have decided to create a western esque novel series with a 50s commercial illustration feel. Influenced by the old advertisement posters of the 50s and the rise of cowboys in media, I aimed to create a novel that really captured in an organic way the stylistic choices, art, and content that would’ve been used in actual 50s comic books/media.

Growing up I watched a lot of spaghetti western films starring Clint Eastwood with the cool hand-painted posters and overly expressive illustrations, so I felt inspired to try to recreate this specific look with some characters I created.
