In Year 10 Art we are making layered paintings designed around our chosen Whakatauki (Quote). We have been experimenting with different painting techniques including dry brushing, glaze, and fading colors. The Whakatauki I chose was "from a withered tree a flower blooms" to me this represents your life story and finding the best in things. The compass in my artwork represents direction, the flowers represent growth and the background is a painting of where I grew up.
