From Tuesday, 21 November, to Friday, 24 November, our Junior A and Junior B Volleyball teams competed in the North Island Secondary Schools Championships held in Auckland. Both teams played games throughout the week and came up against some tough opposition.

Junior A had a great tournament, finishing at the top of their pool and through to the Division 1 quarterfinals against Trident. They took the win, placing them in the Semi-Finals against the tournament winners Rangitoto. This was a very close gaming going to 15-12 in the 3rd set. The 3rd and 4th playoff was against Orewa College, and Tauranga Girls’ College took an impressive 2-set win against this team, coming away with Bronze medals! Also, congratulations to Isabella Kawana, who was named in the tournament team.

Junior B made it into the top 8 playoffs in Division 3, but they had challenging games in this round. They finished their competition with a 2-1 win.
