At Tauranga Girls’ College we promote and value the giving of service and contributing to the school and wider community.

On Tuesday 07 June TGC will be ‘Powering Up’ to provide service to the local community and to raise funds for a project chosen by students for students.

Students will be expected to contribute to the Service Day in the following ways.

Year 9 and Year 10 students are expected to:

• Volunteer a minimum of three hours of their time to community service.

Year 11 to Year 13 students are expected to:

• Find work in the community to raise funds to contribute towards a project chosen by the students to provide enhanced facilities for the benefit of all students.

Students are encouraged to find their own service or jobs in the community or to inform the school if they require assistance to find meaningful work for the day.
