Kāhui Ako Teacher Only Day

Kahui Ako —

Friday 2 July is the inaugural Tauranga Peninsula Kāhui Ako Teacher Only Day. This day will see all teaching and support staff from our 15 kura come together for a day of Networking, Sharing and Learning.

The day will begin with the launch of Te Tai Whanake ki Tauranga Moana followed by an opening keynote presentation. Kaiako (teachers) will then break into a series of 40 minute workshop streams targeting ECE, Primary, and Secondary sectors as well as broader areas related to teaching and learning, finishing with a closing keynote presentation.

We are seeking expressions of interest for workshop presenters. Workshops can be focused around any idea or topic eg research, practical workshop, sharing of individual or collective school practice, teaching inquiry, discussion panel (or other/additional suggestions) within an ECE, Primary, Intermediate, Junior Secondary, Senior Secondary/NCEA, or wider educational context.

We welcome expressions from anyone in our wider community with a vested interest in contributing to this event and continuing to nurture and develop the skills and capabilities of teaching staff in schools and ultimately our ākonga, tamariki and rangatahi.

If you would like to offer a workshop or know of someone else please complete this form by Friday 21 May, 5:00pm.
