TGC Blue vs TGC Orange. Team Orange won 36-32

So fantastic to have both TGC Junior Teams make the final. TGC Orange finished 1st in pool play facing Trident High School in the semi-final and TGC Blue finished 3rd in pool playing Mount in the 2nd vs 3rd semi-final.

TGC Basketball has been in a rebuilding faze this season and opted to field two even teams in the 2020 Junior Secondary School competition to support the development of girls’ basketball within the school.

The results this season have supported this kaupapa with both Junior teams finishing 1st and 2nd in the Toi Ohomai Secondary School League Junior A Grade.

A huge thank you to our coaches James Patea, TGC Blue and TGC Alumni Maioha and Akuira Haimona-Ngawharau, coaching TGC Orange who guide, mentor and inspire our girls. We would welcome new parents/caregivers to give coaching a go and are keen to support new coaches to our basketball programme.
