Tristie Oeta

Careers —

School Leaver Profile

Tristie had always thought she was going to be a nurse but became fascinated with Engineering because of the work she had recently been studying in Level 2 Physics.

She participated in a panel interview at Toi Ohomai for entry into the Diploma of Electrical Engineering and was accepted into the programme straight away. Tristie was the only female to be interviewed.

Tristie’s study begins in February 2021 with a two week introductory bridging course. She is really excited with her choice and can’t wait to get started. Meantime the opportunity to try some work in the field has arisen and she will be working for Sky TV as a cabler for Mitre 10 Rugby matches.

Congratulations Tristie.
