Tauranga Girls’ College had six students competing in the New Zealand Secondary Schools Beach Volleyball Championships on the first weekend of February. Unfortunately, the first day of this tournament was called off due to the weather, but the students got to play their games on the Sunday.

Great effort by all students competing, and a special mention to Isabella Kawana and Emmesyn Parr, who got third in the Year 11 Division 1. That’s a National bronze medal! Our other pairs, Taimana Randall and Naitarah Hunia, Carli van der Merwe, and Carina Roberts, both came ninth, respectively, in division 1.
