J Block is due to start construction in May with an estimated build period of 12 months. We are very excited about the plans and the prospect of getting this major project underway and sharing progress with the community.

Painting of F Block and Workshops

We continue with our planned painting of the school with our new colour scheme. During the Christmas holidays, the workshops were painted, and F Block was completed during this term. The wooden framed windows on the 22nd Avenue side of the building were replaced with large aluminium windows giving the building a light and modern look. To complete the picture, shade sails have been ordered to be installed outside Kaileighs.

Front of Kura

This term, we have replaced two-thirds of the school’s front fence as the first stage of a rejuvenation of the front of the school. In the coming months, new planting will be done between the fence and N Block and the rest of the fence replacement is planned for this year. The Hall, Library and Administration blocks are the next major external painting project, and we hope to get this well underway over the upcoming holidays.
