Rugby and Basketball

It is always a great opportunity for our ākonga to head away on a sports road trip in order to test our skills and build whanaungatanga within the team environment. 

Our Rugby 1st XV are currently playing in the Chiefs Manawa Girls 1st XV competition and they offered for the Basketball girls to accompany them to New Plymouth to play Sacred Heart Girls’ College. The Basketball game was tightly contested and a physical one; great to see TGC take the win 46-35.

It was fantastic to see our rugby and basketball sisters supporting one another on the sidelines. As always these trips would never be possible without the wonderful aroha and support of the traveling adults Mrs Claire Richardson, Jeff Robb, Di Kahura and Jeanna Cooney.
