We had three students competing in Christchurch at the New Zealand Secondary School Championships at the end of the 2023 school year.

Our three Athletics students were Ruby Jones, Maia Poutawera and Saskia Rhind. They all competed well throughout the competition.

Ruby came home with a Silver Medal in intermediate Discus and fourth in Shot Put.

Maia came fifth in the 100m semi-finals and fourth in 400m senior girls as a Year 11, which is an excellent result and positive for the years to come.

Saskia competed in four different events; her best result was in her hurdles, where she placed sixth.

Well done to these three athletes, and we look forward to their results for the 2024 season.
