New Students BBQ
What better place than down at our school pool to meet our new whānau.
Tuesday 16 February was a balmy evening with just a small suggestion of rain in the air. Despite this new students came with their whānau āllowing them the opportunity to introduce their teachers for this year. The new house flags stood with pride meaning it was not too difficult to find the whānau tutor. The person who is the first port of call for whānau when communicating with the school. Our senior students mastered their barbeque skills. A hot sausage wrapped in bread was just the order. It was truly our pleasure to meet our new mums and dads and welcome them to our place.
Below is what a few of our parents had to say!
“It was a great event, we enjoyed meeting such passionate teachers and other new families. Thank you” Karen Aspey
“It was a great evening - great to meet teachers, staff and other parents of new students! Fantastic location - I feel lucky my daughter is at your school” Yvonne Rooney
“Thank you for taking the time after your work day to meet with us and chat in an informal setting. It was a great night” Heidi Darcy
