EXCITING NEWS

We are excited to share with you that next year, we have our own dedicated classroom and office space located beside B7. Make sure you come and see us in our new space. We have a classroom and meeting space.

FUTURES ACADEMY UPDATE:

We have had a very successful year with our Level 1 - 3 Futures Academy students, with 62 being involved across a wide variety of industries. For those students who have been involved, we are still waiting for final confirmation of the 2023 credits you have gained, and these will be uploaded to KAMAR by the end of the month. Our external providers are working through the moderation process at present.

For those students who have applied to be involved in the Futures Academy in 2024, we are waiting for the final confirmations from our providers, and we will be in touch by email with each student to inform them of the outcome. The Futures Academy hopes to have the final names to us by the end of the school year.

TERTIARY STUDY WAHINE:

Good luck to those of you embarking on tertiary studies.

Here is a little checklist to ensure you make a smooth transition to a different learning system, particularly if you are living away from home:

  • Accept the offer of enrolment in your course.

  • Accept the accommodation offer and pay the deposit by the due date.

  • Enrol with StudyLink and apply for a student allowance or loan if relevant. www.studylink.govt.nz

  • Indicate your eligibility for fees-free at www.feesfree.govt.nz.

  • Plan your papers for 2024 using the institution's recruitment staff to assist you.

Remember, we are always here to help you with any last-minute questions or queries. Just ask.

ALL STUDENTS INFORMATION:

If you want to make changes to your subject selections for 2024, this needs to be done before you start back at school and via your Dean.
