Level 2 Geography Tūāhu Trip

Hunter Fraser - Year 12 —

On Thursday 29 February, our Level 2 Geography students embarked on a journey up the Kaimai-Mamaku ranges.

The students walked in the Kaimais to collect data from two sites for an upcoming exam on spatial variation.

Collecting data from the soil, vegetation, and climate in a variety of ways. They covered 12 kilometres trekking the Tūāhu track.

There were multiple stops to admire stunning views of the Waikato and the Bay of Plenty. It was an enriching experience for our students.
