I made a diorama based on my whakataukīof choice: “E tio te tui, E ketekete te kaka, E korihi te kokako” - It takes many instruments to make a symphony. I chose this whakataukī because I love music. Each layer represents a different aspect of music. The first layer is violinists, made with stencils and coated with a brown varnish. The second is a painted guitar. The third layer is sheet music with my whakataukī written on it. The last is a detailed saxophone painting. The 3D effect was created using straws and hot glue.
